January 19, 2018

  • A caller said “he believes he knows who had stolen the items that they are missing from Motor Kars.” The caller said “he has a list of things that were taken, and someone had come in to inform them that their items were in someone else’s garage.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a semi was blocking her driveway. An officer responded but did not find a semi.
  • A caller said “he just had a male walk into the store, grab a six-pack of beer and took it to the bathroom, drank one and left.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on someone reported to be living with “no utilities” and with “wild animals living under the residence and holes in the roof.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her dog was lost.
  • A caller reported “a group of middle-school-aged boys messing around” near “a vacant house across the street from her residence.” Officers were advised.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone used her Social Security number to obtain a phone line” and then “didn’t pay their bill, and the debt went to collections.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she was shoveling snow when someone “walked up to her and asked for directions to the nearest convenience store.” The caller said “she thought this was suspicious.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on her neighbor. An officer responded and made contact with the neighbor, who was “a bit under the weather but” otherwise “doing all right.”
  • A caller reported erratic driving. An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • Christopher Adelbert Laurent, 48, 402 N. Chestnut St., Jefferson, was arrested on a Boone County warrant on a charge of contempt of court-failure to file a timely written arrangement on an original charge of OWI.

January 20, 2018

  • A caller said “one of the residents in the assisted living called her and said someone has been knocking on their windows.” An officer responded.
  • Michael Andrew Smith, 26, 2801 First Ave., #17, Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said someone “sent a cab down from Boone to pick her up,” but “she did not want to go anywhere.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded and found the owner of the dogs retrieving them.
  • A caller requested help in taking his son to the Dallas County Hospital. An officer responded and helped.
  • A caller reported “four bags of trash that have been setting on the parking” for “about two weeks.” The caller said “dogs are getting into the trash and making a mess.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported erratic driving. An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “about problems between him and his wife.” An officer responded and advised the caller to “seek an attorney.”

January 21, 2018

  • Jeremy Rafael Lovera, 19, 1125 Hancock Dr., #1303, Boone, was arrested on charges of first-offense public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.
  • A caller reported a prowler or peeping tom. An officer responded but “did not see anyone.”
  • A caller reported erratic driving. An officer responded but did not find the vehicle.
  • Jeovany Javier Juarez, 22, 1821 1/2 W. Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of driving under revocation, first-offense OWI, second-offense possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no insurance.
  • A caller said someone “has been following him again.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested an ambulance for a man “who was accidentally given the wrong medication.” The Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller “said his dad is now calling and threatening him.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “when she was arriving home a short time ago, her ex was pulling out of her driveway.” The caller said “she believes he was in her house.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
