- A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
- A caller said “her ex” was “trying to take the kids away from her.” Officers responded.
- A caller said her ex-husband “took their 1-year-old and told her she would never see him again.” An officer responded and advised the caller “it was a civil issue.” The officer gave the caller “the Des Moines Police Department’s number and advised they could request a welfare check on the 1-year-old.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
