- Rosa Johnson, 43, 1616 Sixth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of simple assault.
- A caller said ‘her daughter’s dad took their daughter’s phone.” The caller said “she has texted him, and he stated he is not giving the phone back.”
- A caller said “someone lost a box of fireworks on Iowa Highway 141” east of Perry. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office responded.
- A wireless 911 caller said “he wanted to talk to an officer about some things that have been happening.” An officer responded.
- A child caller “requested police at their residence.” A officer responded and made contact with someone “who stated her landlord’s mother wanted her to move everything out of the residence.”
- A caller said “she locked herself out of her residence.” An officer responded.
- A caller requested a welfare check on a dog that “is constantly tied outside.” An officer responded.
- A caller said “she left a cart full of items that she had purchased at” at local retail store “outside the store.” The caller said “she caught a man going through her cart,” and “the man took a pair of sandals and a pair of crocs then took off on a bike.” An officer responded. The items were valued at $4.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he left a backpack “laying in the backyard,” and “when he went to get the bag, it was gone.” An officer responded.
- A caller said “her neighbor to the east just shot off fireworks.” An officer responded.
- Bernadette Marie Goodwin, 34, 1722 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
July 12, 2018
- A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found a non-working street lamp. Alliant Energy was notified.
