July 16, 2016

  • A caller said two storage units were burglarized. The caller said she “checks the units daily but missed yesterday.” Officers responded and found the “padlocks had been cut, and entry was made into the storage units,” with “various items taken from each storage unit.” An investigation we started.
  • Jeffrey Arlis Frain, 62, 1804 Fifth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of second-offense domestic assault.
  • A caller said “there was a small fire alarm going off at the Masonic Home.” The call was followed by “several 911 calls” made “just to inform that the fire alarm went off, but it was someone who burnt mac and cheese.” An officer responded.

  • A caller said she found a black kitten with blue eyes. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Center. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • Zachary Alan Armstrong, 30, 1802 Estella St., Perry, was arrested on charges of public intoxication, interference with official acts, assault on a peace officer with injury and first-degree harassment.

July 17, 2016

  • A caller said a white bulldog was running at large. A second caller said her white bulldog was missing. Officers responded. Riley, the white bulldog, was caught and returned to his owners.
  • A caller said “his brother is in town and is threatening to harm him.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she is receiving harassing text messages.” An officer responded.
  • Alberto Garcia-Lopez, 38, 321 Pattee St., Perry, was issued a citation for animal neglect.
  • Joshua Cole Fintel, 21, 806 William St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of simple assault.
  • A caller said “someone tried to break in.” He said “his mom noticed that there were scratches and dents around the lock and door.” An officer responded and found “visible markings on the deadbolt where it appears someone attempted to break in.” The caller said nothing appeared to be missing from the residence.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she was receiving harassing messages on Facebook. A person on Facebook claimed the woman was “cheating” with the husband of the person on Facebook. The woman said neither the person on Facebook nor the husband of the person on Facebook were known to her. An officer responded and advised the woman “to block the person on Facebook and to report her to Facebook.”

July 18, 2016

  • A caller said his vehicle was “stuck in 3 feet of water.” An officer responded and “was able to remove the caller.” The officer “gave him a ride home” and gave him the telephone number of a local towing service.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

  1. Too cute! Maybe the kitty needs a lady in blue to love her up. They look like they found an admiration for each other.
