July 7, 2020
- Officers received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1300 block of 16th Street. The loss was estimated at $100.
- An officer located open burning in the 1700 block of Seventh Street. A written warning was issued.
- A 2007 Chevy Cobalt, registered to and driven by Oshalin Dafnet Campos of 1908 Fifth St., Perry, collided with a legally parked 2004 Nissan Titan, registered to Olga Irma Desoto of 2226 Lucinda St., Perry, which struck a legally parked 2012 Chevy Cruz, registered to Olga Irma Desoto 2226 Lucinda St., Perry. Campos swerved to avoid striking a dog in the street and struck Desto’s Nissan, pushing it about five feet into Desoto’s Chevy. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $10,000.

- Donald Leroy McChesney, 40, of 1648 84th St., Clive, was arrested on charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, first-offense domestic abuse assault-display or use a weapon.
