  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer conducted a bike rodeo at the Perry Elementary School.
  • A caller “reported a woman in a wheelchair on Iowa Highway 141.” An officer responded but did not find the woman in the wheelchair.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she lost her bank card.
  • A caller said his neighbor was locked out of her house. An officer responded and made contact with a locksmith.
  • A caller from a local bicycle store said someone told him “a guy rode up to the bike shop, dumped his bike and stole a bike from in front of the business.” The caller called again and said “he has the bike back.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she was having “problems with her daughter.” The caller said she believed “her teenage daughter” was “drunk and high when she came to see her at the nursing home.” An officer responded, made contact with the daughter and “found her to be sober.”
  • “While investigating a stolen-bike complaint,” an officer from the Perry Police Department “learned the suspect in the bike theft,” a 13-year-old boy from Perry, “also stole candy and a drink from” a local retail store.
  • Zachary Lee Flinn, 25, 106 E. Percival St., Rippey, was arrested on two Dallas County warrants for probation violation and for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said an “occupied vehicle had been sitting in front of his residence for a while.” The caller “said he confronted the driver, and the vehicle left.” An officer responded but did not find the suspicious vehicle.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said she “wanted to report a person missing in Israel.” An officer responded and “found a phone number for them to call.”
  • Sabrina Ann Nicholaisen, 20, 335 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving while suspended.
  • Leigh Richard Houghton, 52, 307 Story St., Sheldahl, Iowa, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and “returned the dog to its yard.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was “flagged down” by a man who said “his brother-in-law was found by Israeli law enforcement and was fine.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
