June 15, 2018

  • Nick Valiant Moore, 21, 1209 W. Second St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense domestic assault.
  • A caller “requested a welfare check on his daughter.” Officers responded.
  • Misty Dawn Larson, 37, 333 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said “he found a cell phone yesterday.” An officer responded in order to “log it into evidence.”
  • A caller “said he’s been receiving harassing phone calls.” An officer responded and made contact with the caller, who said “he was intoxicated and decided he would just ignore the calls” from someone “since he loved her.”
  • A caller said her boyfriend’s dog was lost.
  • A 15-year-old female from Perry was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A caller said “someone was shooting off fireworks somewhere east of her residence.” An officer responded and made contact with a group of two adults and two children who “were lighting large/long sparklers and using the snappers/poppers.” The officer “advised sparklers and the poppers were fine to use.”
  • A caller said “a neighbor girl” was “claiming her sister was beating her up and their mom isn’t home.” An officer responded.

June 16, 2018

  • Lane Pace was issued a citation “for no insurance and no registration.”
  • A caller said someone on a bicycle “was swerving all over the road.” Officers were advised.
  • A caller said he lost his billfold.
  • A caller said “someone had put graffiti in the lobby.” An officer responded and found “black spray paint had been sprayed on the inside of the lobby of the apartment buildings.” The officer made contact with a tenant “who stated he did it.”
  • A caller said “there was a hurt kitten in her backyard.” An officer responded but did not find the hurt kitten.
  • A man “brought a baby duck to the” offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. The man said “he found it in the roadway area.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a man sleeping in her backyard near the alley.” An officer responded and made contact with a woman “lying in the backyard,” who said she “was just lying in the shade, taking a nap.” The caller was informed, and “the female left the yard.”
  • A caller “said a sex offender” was “hanging around at” the caller’s daughter’s workplace. An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and requested an officer “stand by while he removes his belongings” from a residence. An officer responded and “confirmed the female half had moved out of the residence,” and “the male half can stay.”
  • A 911 caller reported “a deer running loose” within the city limits. An officer was advised.
  • A caller said “she accidentally locked herself out of” her workplace. An officer responded.

June 17, 2018

  • A caller said his estranged wife “has gone to the house to remove property but every time she comes, she brings a guy to help who is really rude. The man has insulted him,” the caller said, “and he wants to know what to do about him not coming over anymore.” An officer responded and “advised him to call the police when he is there if he is causing a problem” and also “to perhaps talk to his wife and ask her not to bring him.”
  • A caller asked “to speak with an officer to report a theft.” The caller said “he loaned” someone “a Playstation,” and “there were rumors that implicated him in a bad way, so he went to pick up his game,” but someone “kicked him out with a baseball bat.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he “found two bicycles that were near the alley right behind his property.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “sometime overnight someone spray painted insulting words on their garage.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a raccoon by her gazebo.” The caller “said she thought it was sick.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
