- A caller “said he needed paramedics due to being very intoxicated and high on marijuana.” The caller was “unsure of his exact location but stated he was somewhere in Woodward.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified. An officer of the Perry Police Department “responded to the scene due to no deputies being in the area,” and the officer “was able to calmly talk the subject out of his vehicle until the Woodward Police Officer arrived. Ambulance and county showed up, and” the Perry officer “was released from the scene.”
- A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.
- A caller “requested an officer respond to remove a male from her residence. He was supposed to be there to watch his child but is not doing so. He is no longer welcome.” The caller said “he is being aggressive.” Officers responded.
- A caller said “his fire alarm keeps going off.” The Perry Volunteer Fire Department was notified.
- A caller reported an irratic driver on Iowa Highway 141. An officer responded.
- A caller said a dog was running at large.
- A caller said a parked vehicle had been idling for five hours. An officer responded and made contact with the registered owner of the vehicle, and the “car was shut off.”
- A caller said “she just crashed into somebody’s porch.” Officers responded.
- A caller said “there were two unattended children in” an idling vehicle. The caller said “one of them was around 3 years old and the second child was an infant.” An officer responded and made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who said “she had stopped inside” a local retail store “briefly to get her 5-year-old daughter some candy” and “left the vehicle on and was not inside very long. Both children appeared to be fine, and the 5-year-old was eating candy as” the officer spoke with the driver.
- A caller said “her fiance’s daughter is being violent, cursing and shoving her father.” Officers responded.
- A caller said “she ‘needs this man out of her house’ and hung up.” A second caller said “her mom and ex are fighting, and mom wanted her to call the police.” Officers responded.
- A caller said “there is a wire that is sparking behind his residence” that “is going through some branches.” An officer responded, and the utility company was notifed.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
