March 15, 2018

  • A caller said “there was a bunch of kids that were running in and out of the house that burnt down yesterday.” An officer responded and determined “it was the family trying to grab some belongings.”
  • A caller said “she received a weird phone call from someone stating that he needed help and then hung up.” Officers responded. Investigation led to a group of children, whom the officers “told to stop making crank phone calls.”
  • A caller said he caught a dog running at large “that appears to be neglected.” An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said his son was causing “problems.” Officers responded. The caller said the son “does not live there, so he was asked to leave by” the caller, and the son “left the residence.” The officers advised the caller to call again is the son “shows back up to the house.”
  • A caller reported “a suspicious person walking northbound on Second Street, looking in car windows.” An officer responded but did not find the suspicious person.
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital requested an officer to respond for a 9-year-old child “being treated for a dog bite.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “said she has five kids playing in the backyard,” and “three kids from next door keep running out into the yard and hollering racial slurs toward her kids.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “said she had a disagreement with her teenage daughters, and they walked out of the house.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “two men came to her door with knives and were banging her door” and “have been doing this for a couple of hours.” An officer responded and determined the caller’s claims to be “unfounded.”

March 16, 2018

Federico Martinez, 60, 2801 First Ave., #72, Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.

Clinton Terrell Greene, 26, 1702 Otley Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
