  • A caller said “his wife had seen a man standing on their porch about 10 minutes ago. She was woken up by the dog and saw a male peeking in the window.” Officers responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he keeps hearing a buzzing sound.” An officer responded and determined the sound “was coming from the carbon monoxide detector.”
  • A caller reported “a loud party” and “thinks they may be drinking.” An officer responded but “did not hear a loud party or loud noise.”
  • A caller said “her daughter who lives in Dawson cannot get to her house due to flooding.” The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said his dog was lost. The caller called again and said his dog was found.
  • A caller from outside the city limits of Perry said “she had some items stolen from her.” The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department was approached by a juvenile female who said she “located a VVS Canteen card on the sidewalk.” The officer responded, “took the card” and attempted to “return it to its owner.”
  • A caller said a child was driving an “illegal trail bike up and down the road.” An officer responded and determined “the kid was riding the bike on his own property.”
  • A caller reported a barking dog. An officer responded.
  • David Ray Linn, 41, 827 William St., Perry, was arrested on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance, first-offense OWI-drug related and no seat belt.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
