  • A caller said someone “is at her house, causing trouble” and “throwing things.” The caller said “she just wants him to leave.” Officers responded, and the unwelcome male left the residence.
  • A caller reported a scam call from someone “claiming to be Publishers Clearing House.”
  • A caller said “she struck a dog on the highway that ran out in front of her.” The caller said she “initially thought the dog was deceased, but it got up and was walking toward its home and owner.”
  • A caller “reported a neighbor playing loud music.” An officer responded and “spoke to some people in the area.”
  • A caller “reported the neighbor’s dogs were barking” and “have been barking for a long time.” An officer responded and “spoke to the dog owner,” and the “dogs were taken inside.”
  • A caller from a local bank said “a female was taking a screwdriver to the ATM.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said someone “dumped Windex in his eyes on Saturday” after he took someone’s “radio.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and “located the dog but could not capture it.”
  • Brian Roscoe Weltzin, 22, 107 E. Hubbell St., Sheldahl, was arrested on a charge of first-offense public intoxication.
  • A caller said “his ex keeps blowing up his phone, and she isn’t supposed to be contacting him.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
