He just didn’t know what time.” An officer responded and informed both callers that “they will need to make arrangements on their own, and they cannot just drop it off here” at the Perry Police Department. The officer advised the callers to “go to civil court about it” if there is a conflict over the lawful possession of the Kirby vacuum system.
  • A caller said somone “has eloped from services” but now “is back” and “throwing things around the house” and “has now barricaded himself in a room.” The caller said “they are working on getting a committal.” Officers responded and “controlled the situation.”
  • A caller from Adel “requested to speak to an officer about suspicious activity.” The caller was transferred to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
  • A caller said her dogs were lost. The caller called again and said her dogs were found.
  • A caller said someone “ran off about an hour ago.” Officers responded and located the runaway, who was “later transported to the Dallas County Hospital for evaluation.”
  • A caller “reported a gas odor coming from her basement.” The caller was advised “to evacuate immediately.” The Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged, and the utility company was notified.
  • Paul David Samuelson, 61, 2119 Second St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense public intoxication and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
  • A caller said “he heard five or six gunshots” but “doesn’t know an exact location.” An officer responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
