  • A caller said “she doesn’t want to deal with” someone “anymore.” The caller said she and someone “have been arguing.” Officers were advised.
  • A caller said she lost her debit card.
  • A caller “requested an officer respond as” someone was “refusing to take the meds” even though “he has a court order to take them.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from a local retail store said “she is with two young girls, ages 7 and 8,” who “don’t know where they live.” An officer responded and determined the children “got a little lost. Mom was looking for them. All okay.”
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department “served” someone “with no-trespass papers.”
  • A caller said his wife just called and said “a kid threw a stick on her car. She is trying to keep the kid there.” An officer responded and made contact with the wife and two juveniles, who said the “stick slipped out of their hands when they were swinging them on the sidewalk.” The wife said she “does not think this was purposeful but wanted them talked to about the incident and to discuss damage with the parents.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said he found a set of keys. An officer responded, “took the keys and logged them into evidence.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “her car was parked,” and “someone hit it while it was parked in the last hour.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. “During the call, he spoke to a male who was the owner and who was trying to get the dog.”
  • A caller said “he received a scam call asking for his Social Security number.” The caller said he “did not give it out.”
  • A caller said someone was “throwing rocks at passing cars in the front of the residence.” Officers responded and made contact with the rock thrower, who said “he was not throwing rocks at vehicles.” The officers also “spoke with staff,” who said “it looked like he was throwing rocks in the direction of cars and that he was aiming at them.”
  • A caller said “she thinks the neighbor’s house is on fire.” Officers responded, “Dallas County Deputies in the area also assisted” and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
  • A caller said “she just bought her car, and her daughter was pressing buttons, and her car alarm is going off.” The caller said “she didn’t know how to stop it.” A Perry Police Department Dispatcher “advised her how to stop the alarm.”
  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • Three callers reported that “a child on a scooter was trying to cross 141” at First Avenue. An officer responded, made contact with the juvenile and his parents and “determined there was miscommunication between the 11-year-old juvenile in regards to him walking home. The juvenile was left in the supervision of his parents.”
  • A caller “requested an officer to assist him” so that “he could get his Kirby vacuum back.” An officer responded and “stood by while this went on.”
  • A caller said “his manager” at work “has been harassing him all day today.” The caller said “he has contacted corporate and advised them of the issues with her.” An officer responded, “spoke with the harasser and advised her to stop. She agreed to do so.”
  • A caller said “she lost the key to her vehicle.”
  • A caller said someone “threw glass and cut his ankle.” The caller said there was “no serious bleeding,” but someone “was having trouble moving due to the injury.” The Perry First Responders and the Dallas County EMS were paged.
  • Elizabeth Meurer of 807 Fifth St., Perry, was issued a citation for violation of instruction permit and no insurance. “License plates and registration receipt were seized due to second-offense no insurance.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
