March 24, 2017

  • A wireless 911 caller said “she is at the Perry Chief, and she has a passenger who has insulted her and has threatened her and threw a bottle of water at her dog.”
  • A caller from a local dealership said “he is repossessing a vehicle,” and “he is parked where the driver cannot leave.” The caller “said the owner also has a motorcycle that he has hidden.” The caller “requested an officer respond.” An officer responded.
  • Multiple callers reported “a male in a red sweater laying in a ditch just north of town on the east side of the road.” An officer responded and found the man in the red sweater “was waiting for a ride to Rippey.”
  • A caller said she was concerned about someone who was “making suicidal threats.” An officer responded, “contact was made” and “everything appeared to be okay.”
  • Danny Lee Cannon, 59, 1818 Sixth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-simple assault.

March 25, 2017

  • A caller “reported a muskrat stuck in a hole in the sidewalk.” An officer responded and “released the muskrat.”
  • A caller said his two sons “were not getting along.” An officer responded and “assisted.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but could not catch the dog.
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer “regarding her child threatening to run away.” An officer responded.
  • Linda Ann Ridge, 45, 32172 610th St., Cambridge, Iowa, was arrested on a dllas County warrant for violation of probation.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
