  • A caller said her father was being harassed by his landlord. An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his property was vandalized.” He said his apartment was “completely trashed” and “drug paraphernalia was found on scene as well.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said while she was in a local retail store, “a friend of her ex-husband walked up behind her and touched her inappropriately.” An officer responded and explained the process of having a no-contact order issued. The officer later made contact with the alleged assailant, who “was advised that if he continues to have contact with her, he could be charged with harassment.”
  • A caller said “he and his ex-wife” were “having a disagreement over custody issues.” An officer responded and explained that “they needed to get their custody agreement modified if they wanted changes.”

March 3, 2017

  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller later called again and said her dog was found.
  • Gustavo Adofo Ruiz-Vargas, 30, 1610 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of domestic abuse assault.
  • Genna Sue Reed, 24, 204 First Ave., Bagley, was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department assisted a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff on a reported domestic disturbance. The deputy could “hear the domestic going on, but the female half slammed the door in the deputy’s face, and they won’t let him in.” The dispute was determined to be verbal only, and the broken window and door were the private property of the disputants to dispose of freely.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
