May 14, 2018

  • A caller said her two dogs were lost. The caller called again and said her two dogs were found.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. “to request a trap to catch a raccoon.” An officer responded and “loaned the trap.”
  • A caller said someone was “yelling atthe receptionist there and not making a lot of sense.” The caller said he “was concerned about her.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone had dumped a red Ford Mustang behind his grain bin.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “her neighbors are missing their 3-year-old son.” Offcers responded, and the child was “located down the block” prior to the officers’ arrival.
  • A caller asked to speak with an officer about “a family matter.” An officer responded.

May 15, 2018

  • A 14-year-old male of Perry was arrsted on a charge of criminal mischief.
  • A caller reported receiving “several calls in the last two weeks” that “are automated and say the IRS is suing them.” An officer responded and advised the caller to “block his number.”
  • A caller said she lost her Social Security card and insurance card.
  • A caller said “a black landscape trailer was stolen off the property.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “some things were taken out of her mom’s vehicle.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his trimmer was stolen from his mom’s residence.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her daughter “would not listen to anything she was saying.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said her dog was lost.
  • A pregnant caller with two children said “she had just been kicked out of her boyfriend’s house and had no money and not enough gas to make it to her sister’s.” The Perry Ministerial Association was contacted, and they provided shelter at a local motel.

May 16, 2018

  • Amy Jo Hofbauer of 507 Lucinda St. was issued a citation for first-offense open burning.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
