Perry Police Report May 9

  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and with assistance from a translator said her 13-year-old daughter was missing. A missing-person report was filed. The woman returned to the offices of the Perry Police Department about five hours later and said her daughter returned.
  • A caller said a person he did not recognize “appeared to be removing something” at the property next door. Officers responded and spoke with the person, who was repairing the fence on his adjacent property.
  • A caller said four juveniles with a baseball bat “were destroying a tree” at a Perry long-term care facility. An officer responded but did not find the juveniles or the damaged tree.
  • Amado Loaiza, 51, 2209 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
