  • A caller said “her husband saw someone by her garage.” Officers responded and patrolled the area but did not find the suspicious person.
  • A caller reported “someone burning leaves on the sidewalk.” An officer responded, made contact with the burner and explained the city ordinance “in regards to leaves being burnt on the sidewalk.”
  • A caller said “that she could hear her neighbors screaming and arguing.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “she believes she has an injured raccoon in her front yard.” An officer responded, and “the raccoon was taken out into the country and released.”
  • A caller reported “vandalism on the back of his garage.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Departent at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog he caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large “and was at the pound.” An officer responded and placed the animal in the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said “her neighbors are blasting the music,” and the caller wonder whether “they could turn it down.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said she “noticed yesterday some things were missing out of her house and assumed her son had taken them since he is in the process of moving but realized that he had not done so.” An officer responded.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department removed debris from the roadway.
  • A caller said “her grandson found a hurt pigeon” and “has it in a cage, and it looks sick.” An officer responded, “retrieved the injured pigeon and took it to the water treatment plant and put the animal down.”
  • A caller said her neghbor was “taking his parents’ vehicle while they were out of town.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone “just assaulted her daughter,” who “was thrown against the wall and was being choked.” The caller said someone “had a knife but was trying to hurt himself with it.” Officers responded, and the Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller said the neighbors “were still burning things.” An officer responded.
  • An officer of the Perry Police Department served a no-trespass notice to someone.
  • Bryan Osvaldo Juarez Odonez, 24, 1803 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault simple.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
