  • A caller reported a suspcious person “lurking around the area.” An officer responded but did not find the suspicious person.
  • A caller reported “a scam call he had received.”
  • A caller from a local bank reported “a counterfeit $20 they received.” An officer responded “and retrieved the bill.”
  • A caller asked “to talk to an officer about suspicious activity by a contractor that had been working on his house.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “a male having a dispute with him, and the male had a machete.” Officers responded and made contact with the male, who said “he was doing some yard work when the caller confronted him about all the stuff in his yard and it needing to be cleaned up.” The officers advised the caller that “if he had any complaints, he needed to notify the city.”
  • A caller said “some kids were throwing rocks, and they damaged the screen on the back door.” An officer responded.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and asked for “extra patrol on his lawn mower that broke down at the American Legion.” Officers were advised.
  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • A caller said “his neighbor’s dogs are barking.” An officer responded and made contact with the caller, who “appeared to be intoxicated.” The caller mentioned “getting into a fist fight with his neighbor over the dogs.” The officer “told the caller he needed to stay off his neighbor’s property.”
  • A caller said she “put a washer and dryer outside her apartment” intended for a charity group to pick up, and “yesterday they were gone.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said a 15-year-old male was “smashing video games and hurting her grandson.” Officers responded and made contact with the juvenile, who “left with his mother.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
