November 27, 2017

  • A caller said “he is going to make an exchange with his ex in the police department parking lot with their son and wanted an officer present.” An officer responded and stood by.
  • Matthew Tyler Andorf, 37, 415 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on charges of third-offense possession of a controlled substance, third-offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Guadalupe Marie Larson, 27, 3909 78th St., Urbandale, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • A 14-year-old male from Perry was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree criminal mischief.
  • A caller said “he was just in a fight” and “got punched in the face and had broken glasses.” Officers responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she had documents taken,” and “her sister used her card without permission.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she just witnessed a grandma drive with an infant on her lap. All officers were busy at the time of the report.”
  • An officer served a no-trespass notice to “a shoplifter caught on video.”
  • A caller said “his ex-girlfriend called him and threatened” to “file a report. She is reportedly going to say he threatened her.” The caller said “he is not in Perry and has not been here for about two months.”
  • A caller “reported that there was grass clippings and eaves everywhere.” An officer responded and found the yard waste “had been cleaned up prior to arrival.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • Amie Jo Shriner, 36, 1305 E. 36th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-simple assault.

November 28, 2017

  • A caller said someone was “threatening to go to the police department and file a complaint against him.” The caller said he wanted to the Perry Police Department “to be aware of his side of the story.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her step-son was “outside of their house, banging on the door, and she did not want to deal with him.” An officer responded and made contact with the step-son and his companion, who said “they wanted to get something to eat.” The officer informed them “that the resident didn;t want them there because of problems they have caused in the past.” The officer “advised them to move on,” and “they complied.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
