November 6, 2017

  • A 15-year-old male of unknown residency was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A 13-year-old male of unknown residency was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • A caller said a man was walking a dog that “was not on the leash.” The caller said she “advised the man to get his dog off her yard, and the male started cursing at her.” An officer responded but did not find man or dog.
  • A caller said her dog “started chasing two cats” and “got into our impound lot, and she cannot get her dog to come out.” An officer responded and assisted in removing the dog from the dog pound.
  • A caller reported “a big pipe on iowa Highway 141 on the inside lane near Bouton headed eastbound.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A caller said she lost her mobile telephone.
  • A caller from a local tavern reported “there had just been a fight.” The caller said three customers “were getting in each other’s faces” and when “the bartender tried to step in between the” customers, the bartender “was hit/slapped in the mouth.” An officer responded and found the three customers gone, and “no one present could positively identify the” departed customers.
  • A caller said her boyfriend was “acting crazy” and “threatened her and is not letting him see her kids.” An officer responded.

November 7, 2017

  • A caller from a Des Moines motel said “someone was knocking on her daughter’s door.” The call was “transferred to Des Moines State Radio.”
  • A caller said “their 10-month-old got locked in their babysitter’s vehicle.” The caller said “the keys were in the ignition,” and the “baby was sleeping.” An officer responded, unlocked the vehicle and liberated the baby.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
