October 6, 2019

  • Officers responded to a theft report in the 1600 block of Willis Avenue.
  • Officers responded to the 1400 block of 30th Street on a report of criminal mischief.
  • Ricky Dean Glass, 52, of 820 18th St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

October 7, 2019

  • The Perry Police Department received a report of theft in the 2300 block of Willis Avenue.
  • An officer reported criminal mischief at the Perry Middle School.
  • Officers responded to the 900 block of 18th Street on a report of a fight in progress. Two male juveniles were found to be in a dispute. The situation calmed prior to officers’ arrival.
  • Jessica Perez, 32, of 1301 W. Eighth St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.

October 8, 2019

  • A Ford F250 pickup truck, registered to All’s Done Inc. and driven by Calvin Barber, 3160 St. Charles Road, St. Charles, Iowa, collided with a 2003 Cadillac Deville 2D, registered to the Lamoni Principle utilities and driven by Steven Trimble, 4428 Coahman Road, Prior Lake, Minn. Trimble was transported to the Dallas County Hospital by the Dallas County EMS.
  • Officers responded to the 900 block of Fourth Street on a report of a burglary at an empty property. The suspicious person appeared to be previous tenant. All was okay.
  • Officers responded to the 1700 block of Fifth Street on a report of theft of property from a vehicle. Missing items were sunglasses and headphones.
  • Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 1300 block of Second Street. The officers determined it did not appear to be criminal mischief but rather the window was old and appeared to have fallen out.

October 9, 2019

  • Officers responded to the 2900 block of Kading Road on a report of an attempted break in. The suspicious person was gone upon the officers’ arrival.
  • Officers responded to the area of Sixth and Pattee streets on a report of a verbal dispute.
  • Officers responded to the 1400 block of Sixth Street on a report of a verbal domestic. The female party left for the evening.
  • Officers responded to the 500 block of Willis Avenue on a report of a garage burglary.
  • Juan Garza, 57, of Goodell, Iowa, was arrested on an Ogden Police Department warrant for indecent contact with a child.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
