Perry Police Report Sept. 15

September 14, 2016

  • A caller said her neighbor “locked herself out of her apartment.” An officer responded.
  • Lisa Marie Ward, 35, 2514 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for probation violation on original charges of OWI and credit card fraud.
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dogs.
  • A caller said “she is testing a device she has that dials into 911 only.” The caller said “it is malfunctioning, and she doesn’t know how to fix it.” An officer responded and “suggested she disconnect it.” The Perry Police Department received four 911 calls via the device. The officer disconnected the device.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department and said “his wife is leaving the house.” The husband said “they had an argument, and now she is packing her things.” The husband said “he is afraid she will destroy the property.” Officers responded and stood by while the wife “retrieved her property.”
  • A caller said his neighbors “are yelling at each other and throwing things toward” a vehicle. Officers responded and found the neighbors “were arguing about living arrangements and storage of property. They packed up their items and moved on.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department and said he found a billfold. An officer responded.
  • A caller said she listed her cell phone for sale on the website OfferUp. She said “she had a conversation with the people she was going to sell it to, and they told her they had sent their payment through Paypal. She mailed the phone without confirming payment and realized afterwards payment had not been sent.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from Woodward said her two little sisters were missing. The Perry Police department “was unable to get the call to transfer,” so dispatchers “called the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.”
  • A caller said “some of his security bulbs were missing.” The caller said he was “gone for three weeks and when he returned today, he noticed that the light bulbs (two of them) to his motion lights outside were taken.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said he was “walking past a house” where “people were hollering, and someone was making threatening comments to someone else.” An officer responded and found a man was “voicing his opinions about his job loudly to his mother.” The was “no argument between the two people.”
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said a juvenile was “being difficult.” Officers responded and found an officer from the “Woodward Police Department was there with the juvenile.” The officers stood by “to assist due to the combative behavior of the juvenile.”
  • A caller said he “wanted to buy a car on Ebay and was told he needed to buy $1,500 in Ebay gift cards.” An officer responded and found the caller “was scammed out of $1,500.” The officer started an investigation.
  • A citizen presented an unworking cell phone to a patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department. The item “was secured in evidence.”

September 15, 2016

  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department found “an open door to the office and the hangar at the airport.” The officer “checked the interior of the buildings and found that everything was in order.” The airport manager was contacted. The manager said “there had been a person over there earlier, and he had forgotten to lock it up after that person left.”
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department informed people in the Soumas Court “that non-hotel guests are prohibited from being in the courtyard after 11 p.m.” The people left.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
