September 13, 2018

  • A caller said “someone had gotten into his vehicle and taken his GPS unit.” An officer responded. The unit was valued at $8,500.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said someone caught a dog running at large. An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and asked “to talk to an officer about harassment issues.” The woman said she was “upset that her mugshot had been released to the media.” The woman “said her friends are sending it to her and laughing,” and she “wanted us to take it down.” An officer responded, and the woman was “made aware that it is public record, and we have no control over Facebook.”
  • A caller from the Boone County Sheriff’s office said a woman “from a rollover crash was picked up by a third party and was being taken to the hospital” when she “requested that the driver let her out” on the north side of Perry. The caller said the woman “is bald and is wearing a tank top and is believed to be bleeding.” The caller requested the Perry Police Department make a welfare check on the woman. An officer responded and “talked to a few of the residents” in the vicinty, and “no one has seen a female matching the description.” The Boone County Sheriff’s office was “made aware.”
  • A caller said her husband “hit her in the chin.” An officer responded and determined there was a “verbal argument” only. The parties agreed “they would leave each other alone for the evening.”
  • A caller said someone “came to her house and has been drinking, and she does not want him there.” Officers responded, and “both parties agreed to leave each other alone for the night.”
  • Sean Michael Allen Pollard, 40, was arrested on a Story County warrant for contempt of court.
  • A caller said “somebody rang her doorbell, and she is scared.” Officers responded but were “unable to locate anyone suspicious.”

September 14, 2018

  • Dakota Rain Toepfer, 19, 14835 Velvet Lane, Glidden, was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
  • A caller said he “ran out of gas” and “lost his debit card and had no money.” An officer responded to “discuss his options with him.” The caller “found money in his vehicle for gas.”
  • A caller said someone was “moving into her apartment complex,” and the caller said she “doesn’t feel they will get along.” The caller requested “information on a potential no-trespass order.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said someone’s “potential ex-husband was there and intoxicated,” and the caller “wanted an officer to check on” the welfare of the potential ex-wife. An officer responded.
  • A school bus driver with the Perry Community School District reported a school bus violation. An officer responded.
  • A caller said she received a call from someone who said “that she had won $7.5 million.” The caller was told it was a scam phone call.
  • A caller said “she took several pills because an unknown male threw water at her.” The caller “then hung up.” Officers responded and transported the caller to the Dallas County Hospital.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and reported “a potential scam phone call he received from someone claiming to be from Dish, trying to put updated equipment on his home.” The man “said the caller told him they would be out the following Monday.” The man said “upon calling DirectTV, he was told the company does not do this.” The man said “he wanted officers to know that if they do show up, he is going to call the police department.”
  • A school bus driver with the Perry Community School District reported a school bus violation. An officer responded.
  • A caller “said he was mowing the lawn,” and he “found a syringe needle with liquid in it.” The caller said he “believes it is drugs and would like an officer to pick it up.” An officer responded and “placed a syringe in the evidence room dispose box.”
  • A caller said his vehicle “got run off the road and hit the median.” The caller said “that the other car did not stop.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said his dog was lost.
  • A caller said her daughter “was currently self-harming by cutting herself with a small metal object.” Officers responded and made contact with the daughter, who said “she wasn’t suicidal but has had those thoughts in the past.” Mobile crisis was alerted and responded.
  • A caller said “her neighbors are building a fence next door and making noise,” and the caller said she “believes it is too late to be working on a fence.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “people keep coming to her house looking for Rosa, and she is confused as to why.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported a suspicious man on a bicycle, with “two Shih Tzu-type dogs following behind him.” The caller said she “just thought he was acting suspcious.” Officers responded.
  • A caller said “some North Polk kids are downtown, repainting the windows.” Officers responded, patrolled the area and “stated that it was clear.”
  • A caller said her dog was lost.

September 15, 2018

  • A caller said his cousin was “on his property when he’s not supposed to be.” The call was transferred to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office. “A short time later,” a man “came to the station and advised he was in the area to throw trash away, and” someone “began to follow him, hollered and acted like he wanted to fight him.” The man said he wished to make officers aware someone “was bothering him.”
  • A caller said “her ex-husband is at her property, taking things, and she wants him gone.” An officer responded.
  • A caller from the Cheyenne Police Department in Cheyene, Wyo., said a bicycle missing from Perry was found by their department. An officer responded, “called the bike owner” and “advised him where his bicycle was found.”
  • A caller said an 8-year-old child was driving a four-wheeler “up and down the street and in the parking lot of the apartments.” An officer responded and made contact with the parents of the child, who said “they did not know they could not ride it in the street.” The officer “informed them where they could ride it” and of the “consequences if he is seen riding it in the future.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a friend and shared “concerns about her ex-boyfriend,” who she “feels may be suidical.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “an unwelcome guest” from a nearby residence. The caller said “the female is drunk and appears she is trying to pick a fight with her guests. Her daughter is with her.” Officers responded, and “the female was escorted home” and told “she needed to stay home.” The officers “advised her if she causes any problems, she may be arrested.”
  • A caller said someone “threw something at her vehicle as they were heading south on County Road P58.” The Dallas County Sheriff’s office was notified.

September 16, 2018

  • Anastacio Bautista Tlapaneco, 32, 211 Pattee St., Perry, was arreted on a charge of first-offense public intoxication.
  • A caller said “her upstairs neighbor’s smoke alarm is going of, and she can smell smoke.” The caller was directed “to evacuate the building.” Officers responded, and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
  • A caller reported “a vehicle shining its lights straight at her window and making noise.” Officers responded.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
