September 16, 2018

  • A “home health nurse” called and asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department could deliver a message to someone “to explain options about oxygen.” An officer responded. “Message delivered.”
  • A caller said he had questions about “the written contract he has with his ex regarding their child’s custody.” An officer responded.
  • Ciara Dawn MacFarland, 60, 1607 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on charges of simple assault and dependent adult abuse. MacFarland was found not guilty of dependent adult abuse by a Dallas County jury March 5, 2019. The assault charge was dismissed.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said his dog was lost.
  • A caller “requested an officer stand by to keep the peace while her ex and his family can get his property.” An officer responded. “Stood by, no problems.”
  • A caller requested a welfare check on his father. An officer responded and made contact with the father, who was napping.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a debit card she said she found. An officer responded, received the item and “logged it into evidence.”
  • A caller said two dogs were running at large. The dogs matched the description of two dogs reported lost earlier. An officer responded and made contact with the owner of the dogs.
  • A caller said “her son’s bike was stolen.” An officer responded.
  • A man from Bagley entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said some “people had hit him on the head and took his phone and wallet.” Officers responded.

September 17, 2018

  • An officer of the Perry Police Department requested a Guthrie County Deputy Sheriff meet an assault victim at his residence in Bagley because the victim “is afraid the people who assaulted him may be at his home waiting for him since they took his wallet and driver’s license.” The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office was notified.
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a cat he caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller “said she is being harassed and stalked by a female.” The caller said the female “is constantly watching her when she is at work.” An officer responded.
  • An officer took several calls regarding a child custody dispute and responded to a related call to clear a house with a door ajar.
  • A caller requested a welfare check on someone who “did not go to his treatment.” An officer responded and made contact with the person.
  • A caller said her neighbor “has a bunch of stray cats living on his property,” and “there are raccoons living in the rafters of the home.” The caller said “she is upset because the cats come into her yard and defecate.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “someone stole the forks to his skid loader.” The caller said he “just noticed they were gone today.” An officer responded.
  • A caller “requested officers respond and remove her mother from her property. She is in the garage and won’t leave.” An officer responded and made contact with the mother, who “agreed to leave the property.”
  • A 911 caller from Woodward said “she had just been assaulted and needed a deputy.” The call was “transferred out to county.”
  • A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
  • A caller said her “John Deere pedal tractor was stolen about two weeks ago.” An officer responded.
  • A caller reported “vehicles that were parking on the wrong side of the road, making it difficult for traffic to go through.” An officer responded and issued five citations for parking violations.
  • A caller said “he was being harassed in regards to a vehicle that was purchased by another private party.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said his 15-year-old daughter “was high when he went to go pick her up last Thursday.” An officer responded, made contact with the youth and “advised her smoking marijuana could get her in trouble with law enforcement.”
  • A caller said “her neighbor had the music up really loud in his vehicle.” An officer responded, made contact with the neighbor and “advised him to turn the music in his vehicle down due to the complaint.”
  • A caller said “there was a full syringe that was” nearby, and the caller “wanted an officer to respond to dispose of it.” An officer responded, “picked up the syringe and transported it to the police department and placed it into a sharps container.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “requested an escort to his soon-to-be-ex-wife’s residence,” where he was “picking up his two younger kids.” The man said “his lawyer has advised him to have a police escort when making contact with her.” An officer responded.

September 18, 2018

  • Justin Wayne Skaggs, 18, 1819 Lucinda St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
  • A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department “requested a case be started for criminal mischief.”
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said he “would like a vehicle moved that has been in front of his residence for two weeks” with “a flat tire.” An officer responded and “red tagged the vehicle.”
  • A caller said “she found another syringe around the same location as yesterday.” An officer responded, transported the item to the police station “and placed it into a sharps container.”
  • A caller said a cat was running at large. The caller was informed the animal “needed to be caught before an officer responds.”
  • A caller reported “his neighbor having barking dogs.” An officer responded.

September 19, 2018

  • Scott Robert Hansen, 43, 2730 Summer Meadows Drive, Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
