  • A caller said “she found a rabbit, white with black ears (and) black around eyes.” The caller said “she would keep it until it was claimed.” An officer was alerted.
  • A caller said he heard “loud noises coming from a four-wheeler being ridden.” An officer responded and spoke with the owner of the four-wheeler, who said “he wasn’t riding the four-wheeler but turned on the engine and revved it.” The officer informed the owner “it was not illegal to ride in his own yard.”
  • A caller said “she hit a gas line while she was shoveling.” Officers responded and found a “small gas leak.” The officers stood by until a repair crew arrived.
  • A caller said she “had just received word” that her brother “had passed away.” She asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department would check on her brother’s welfare. An officer responded and made contact with the brother, who “was alive and okay.” The officer informed the caller about her brother’s welfare.
  • A caller “requested an ambulance at the practice football field for a 14-year-old male with a possible broken wrist.” Officers responded. The Dallas County EMS was paged.
  • A caller said “he and his wife keep getting prank phone calls.” He said the “caller is a juvenile female who asks for him or his wife.” He said when they “get on the line, all she does is laugh.” An officer responded and called the prankster’s telephone number. The officer eventually made contact with the father of the prankster, who said “he would address the issue with his daughter, and she would have her phone taken away.”
  • A caller reported “a fight going on on the back side of the high school,” possible between “a teacher and a student.” An officer responded and found “no fight.” The parties were “just play wrestling around.”
  • A 911 caller said “a group of kids just threw eggs at her house and took off running.” Officers responded.
