Sept. 5, 2023
- Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 2000 block of Willis Avenue. The parties separated for the day.
- A 2015 Chevy TRX, registered to and driven by Sharon Ann Ashby of 410 Jefferson St., Fontanelle, Iowa, collided with a 2019 Ford F35 pickup, registered to Cody Jergins Construction LLC of 6 Orchard Circle, Estherville, Iowa, and driven by Ora Lee Weston III of 3941 210th St., Estherville, Iowa, in the intersection of First and Willis avenues. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $14,000. Ashby was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn.
- An unknown vehicle struck a legally parked 2012 GMC Acadia Denali, registered to Pedro Juan Borjas of 315 10th St., Perry, in the parking lot of the Dallas County Hospital. No injuries were reported. Damages were estimated at $1,300. The case is under investigation.
- Officers responded to a report of harassment in the 1600 block of Third Street. The parties were advised to cease communicating.

- Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 2800 block of First Avenue. The officers found the situation calm.
