The Perry Public Library has joined the Adventure Pass program to provide library cardholders with free passes to Blank Park Zoo and the Science Center of Iowa.

Any adult library patron in good standing may “check out” a pass for two adults and two children once a year through an online reservation system and enjoy an educational day of family fun.

Adventure Pass is live this December.

The Adventure Pass program was begun by Grimes Public Library Director Cheryl Heid in order to offer families free and increased access to selected area attractions. Other area libraries are participating in the program.

The Adventure Pass program guidelines are very simple:

  • Library cardholders 18 and older with valid, non-expired cards and in good standing may check out passes. Pass availability may be subject to residency requirements.
  • Cardholders must present a valid photo ID and a printed pass for admission to the venue.
  • One pass to each venue may be reserved once every 365 days.
  • Passes cannot be used for any other special member events.
  • Please cancel your reservation if you cannot use the pass at the reserved time. To cancel a reservation, call your library.
  • Check the open dates of the venue before reserving a pass.
