Perry Pulse Dancers Host Spring Showcase

Talent was on display Thursday at the Perry High School gym as the PHS Pulse Dancers performed their Spring Showcase.

The squad performed various routines, with senior Lourdes Marquez and special guest Claire Southward dancing solo numbers. Marquez was also joined by Herman Benitez for a special animation/hip hop dance.

The team dedicated “The Great Escape” routine to Nailea Marquez. The performance drew attention to “Your Story Doesn’t Stop Here” a suicide prevention program.

Also included were performances by K-3 and 5-6 dancers as well as a series of audience participation numbers.

Pulse members include senior Lourdes Marquez, juniors Brooke Garnes and Maddy Jans, sophomores Lauren Benjamin and Hannah Meister and freshmen Skylar Cunningham, Selena Garcia, Samantha Macias, Paige Peitzman and Sadee Whitfield. Freshmen Katelyn Thomason and Natalie Haynes are team managers.

The Pulse Dancers are coached by Faye Southward and Lindsey Buhrman.
