Perry School Board members Jim Lutmer, left, and Linda Andorf retained their seats in last week's school board election. Director Kenia Alarcon was also reelected.

The three incumbent members of the Perry Community School District Board of Directors listed on last Tuesday’s ballot overcame a write-in challenge and were returned to office, according to unofficial election results released Wednesday by the office of the Dallas County Commissioner of Elections.

Unofficial tallies for the Dallas County portion of the PCSD showed incumbent school board members Linda Andorf receiving 367 votes, Kenia Alarcon earning 324 votes and Jim Lutmer netting 317 votes. Write-in challengers Erin Holmes garnered 190 votes and Max Christensen took 185 votes.

Holmes and Christensen ran on the Flip the Board slate, endorsed by the Perry Education Association teachers union.

District-wide vote totals will not be available until the official canvas next week, according to a county spokesperson. The 62 votes cast in the two Boone County precincts of the PCSD and the five votes cast in the single Greene County precinct make a change in the result mathematically impossible.

ThePerryNews.com will update this story as information becomes available and vote totals become official.

The Perry Community School District lies in Boone and Dallas counties.
