In the midst of last week’s derecho destruction, the Perry Community School District took time Wednesday to honor 42 faculty and staff members with the presentation of Years of Service Awards and Retirement Awards
Fifteen employees were recognized for five years of service. At the district level was Joel Hernandez-Ruiz. At the Perry Elementary School were Robert Benesh, Julie Elliott, Erin Galivan, Nicole Hayes, Katie Hermann, Melissa Olson, Mackenzie Phillips, Kellie Seales and
Laura Skeel. Perry Middle School awardees were Daryl Harker, Jonathan Hoefer and Michael Lovan. Attaining five years at the Perry High School were Allisa Bahney and Adam Modlin.
Five workers marked 10 years of service: Beth Jammes at the Perry Elementary School, Miranda Brus and Natasha Hegstrom at the Perry Middle School and Danielle Kirk and Tina Lutterman at Perry High School.
Eight people reached the 15-year milestone: Karen Aquino and Janiece Thompson at Perry Elementary School, Patricia Kelleher and Shaun Kruger at Perry Middle School and Jody Halling, Joel Happel, Jenny Lansing and Angela Marquez at Perry High School.
Recognized for 20 years of service were Perry Elementary School workers Rebecca Anderson, Lori Enderson, Mary Hillman, Linda Huntington and Karin Kliewer, with Holly Daniels at Perry Middle School and Betty Wenger at Perry High School.
Reaching 25 years were district-level worker Troy Griffith, the Perry Elementary School’s Leslie Richmond, Perry Middle School’s Barbara Chevalier and Perry High Schools’ Diane Gibson and Dan Marburger.
Kristine Finn was thanked for 30 years’ service at the Perry High School, and Barbara Burket was praised for 35 years’ service at the Perry Elementary School.
Tom Lipovac was recognized for 43 years of service at Perry High School and to the students of the Perry Community School District.
