The Perry City Council awarded a $1,015,347.60 contract for the 60-block repaving work in February to OMG Midwest-Des Moines Asphalt and Paving.
Des Moines Asphalt and Paving, along with Cessford Construction Co., Hallett Materials, OMNI Engineering and Minnesota Paving and Materials, compose OMG Midwest, itself a major U.S. subsidiary of CRH Americas Materials, the leading vertically integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt and paving and construction services in the U.S. CRH Americas Materials is a branch of Dublin, Ireland-based CRH PLC, formerly known as Cement Roadstone Holdings.
Perry residents last enjoyed a similar 45-block overlay project in the summer 2016 at a cost of $810,000.
