A Perry teenager was arrested Thursday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with incidents last fall in which he allegedly sexually abused a middle school girl.
Cristopher George Gonzalez, 18, of 801 Fourth St., Perry, was charged with indecent contact with a child-forcible fondling and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse-child under 14.
According to court records, Gonzalez committed the alleged sex crimes between Sept. 1, 2021, and Nov. 24, 2021, a period during which he was 17 years old and the victim was 12.
A warrant for Gonzalez’s arrest was ordered May 10 and served May 12. Gonzalez was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to posting a $25,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 23 in Dallas County District Court.
