RIPPEY, Iowa — Fire ripped through several agricultural outbuildings on a rural Greene County farm Tuesday evening, bringing agency responses from half-a-dozen surrounding communities.
No injuries were reported in the blaze at 2302 U Ave., which was first reported at 5:19 p.m., according to the Greene County Sheriff’s office.
Firefighters with the Perry Volunteer Fire Department, including the Dawson Station, joined their fellow volunteers from Grand Junction, Jamaica, Jefferson, Rippey and Yale in fighting the farm fire. Additional water was provided by the Bouton and Guthrie Center fire departments.
The Greene County Sheriff’s office, Perry Police Department and Greene County EMS also responded.
