Perry volleyball preparing for season opener

The patience of both athletes and coaches is always tested during the preseason, when it feels as if practices will never end and the “real” fun begins.

For the Perry volleyball team, the season will open Thursday when the Jayettes host Fort Dodge St. Edmond. A quick turnaround follows, as Perry will then spend a long — and often draining — Saturday at the 16-team, three-site Bondurant-Farrar tournament.

The final touches are being applied to the team as the preseason winds down, and these photos — captured Tuesday — caught the squad going through their paces.
