A teenage male from Perry was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a female three times in recent weeks.
Alejandro Rios, 19, of 1716 Seventh St., Perry, was charged with assault with intent to inflict serious injury.
According to court records, the victim said “her now ex-boyfriend,” Rios, allegedly “mentally and physically abused her” on three occasions in March and April 2021.
During the alleged assaults, the victim “received multiple bruises on both arms, neck and left ankle,” according to court records.
The victim told police that “she was kicked in nose” on March 30, and Rios allegedly “choked her while on the bed from behind,” according to court records. OnĀ April 5 Rios allegedly “pulled her down on the bed, kicked her and grabbed her” and began “choking” the victim, saying, “I am going to choke you till you can’t breathe.”
In the most recent incident, occurring April 6, Rios allegedly “hit her with a closed fist on the middle portion of her back (two punches) and four to five fast punches to her lower neck,” according to court records.
A warrant for Rios’ arrest was ordered May 6 in Dallas County District Court and served May 11. Rios is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
