A Perry woman was arrested on a warrant Thursday for allegedly harassing her neighbor with text messages.

Jill Ann Onnen, 60, of 523 Clear View, Perry, was charged with third-degree harassment.

According to court records, the victim saved text messages sent from Onnen beginning in July 2021. In the texts, Onnen allegedly “has been accusing the victim of stealing property and coming into (Onnen’s) apartment without permission.”

Onnen allegedly “has been calling the victim names” in the text messages, and she threatened “calling the police and turning her in for theft and fraud,” according to court records.

In a message sent Oct. 12, Onnen allegedly told the victim that “she should blow her brains out” and told “the victim that if she didn’t have a gun,” Onnen “would be able to get her one,” according to court records.

A warrant for Onnen’s arrest was ordered Oct. 19 in Dallas County District Court and served Oct. 21. Onnen was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference Dec. 3 in Dallas County District Court.
