Veronica May Bouska, 23, of Perry was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday for failure to appear on an original charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.

A Perry woman was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Tuesday in connection with an incident last July in which she allegedly struck a man twice across the face with an open hand.

Veronica May Bouska, 23, of 2003 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident occurred about 10:15 a.m. July 19, 2020, in the 2000 block of Warford Street, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The victim told the officers “that while he was trying to talk to” Bouska, “she slapped him on the right side of his face,” according to court records.

The victim presented “visible redness” on both the left and right cheek areas, according to court records.

Bouska allegedly admitted to “slapping” the victim two times on each side of his face with her hand.

A warrant for Bouska’s arrest was ordered Oct. 22, 2020, in Dallas County District Court and served July 6. Bouska is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
