Perry woman faces assault charge after alleged row Monday

Allison Louise Moore, 25, of 1209 W. Second St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness after allegedly assaulting the father of her child Monday afternoon.

A Perry woman was arrested about 2:15 p.m. Monday after the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance.

Allison Louise Moore, 25, of 1209 W. Second St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness.

According to court records, Moore’s victim, the father of her child, “had scratches on his face, neck and upper chest” after Moore “pushed him and then began to hit and scratch him.”

Moore admitted “to getting in” the victim’s “face and admitted to the fight continuing in the bedroom area,” according to records.

The alleged assailant was released from the Dallas County Jail Tuesday after posting bond.

Moore was convicted in Dallas County District Court in September 2018 of assault and two counts of assault on persons in certain occupations.

Moore was convicted in Polk County District Court in February 2014 of assault and in March 2016 of disorderly conduct-abusive epithet/threatening gesture.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
