The Perry wrestling team were not only successful on the mat this season, but in the classroom as well.
The Bluejays have received the IHSAA Distinguished in Academic Excellence Award for having a team GPA of 3.00-3.24 for grapplers in grades 10-12.
In addition, 10 Bluejay matmen were names Raccoon River Conference Academic All-Conference. Qualifications include a GPA of 3.25 or higher while earning a letter and being in grades 10-12.
Honored for Perry were Fernando Catalan, Tanner Darr, Miguel Gonzalez, Troy Jahnke, Adan Medina, Tyler Soll, Jacob Thompson, Zach Thompson, Kade VanKirk and Gage Welch.
