Alexis Bixler of Perry has a starring role in the current Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) production of “Funny Little Thing Called Love,” set to be staged Nov. 1-2 at the DMACC Boone Campus.

The 2014 comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten tells four rollicking, around-the-globe tales of unexpected and hilarious twists and turns.

“By the time the evening is over and the moon works its magic, love will conquer all, and your sides will ache from laughter,” according to critics.

Tickets costs $5 per person and may be purchased at the door. DMACC students receive free admission with their DMACC One cards. The play is directed by longtime DMACC Drama Department Professor Kay Mueller.

Students in the Boone Campus Theater Department can earn two to four college credits for participating in the drama productions.

The intimate Boone Campus theater seats about 250 people. The sound system has a 1642-VL2 Pro 16-channel board and the light system has a computerized Strand MX board.
