Perry’s Mena, Schmidt complete DMACC Honors Program

Katherin Mena of Perry successfully completed the honors program at the Des Moines Area Community College in Boone.

Two Perry students have successfully completed the Honors Program at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Boone Campus.

Katherin Mena of Perry received the congratulations of DMACC Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Kim Linduska at a recent Honors Program ceremony. Mena will graduate this month after studying business administration at DMACC. She plans to transfer to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

Bob Schmidt of Perry also completed the DMACC Honors Program and was congratulated by Linduska at the Boone ceremony. Schmidt will also graduate in May with a degree in liberal arts. His next step in education will be to Iowa State University in Ames, where he will pursue a dual major in computer science and mathematics.
