Youth joined hands with beauty in downtown Perry Saturday evening for the annual Perry High School prom.
Capping a year’s worth of fundraising by the Junior Class, the event opened with a red-carpet promenade along Railroad Street between Second Street and Willis Avenue, where bleachers were erected to hold the admiring crowd.
The hundreds of girls and boys in gorgeous gowns and swanky suits then moved on to dinner at the Hotel Pattee followed by three hours of dancing at La Poste. The after-prom activities will extend from 11:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Perry High School.
