The Perry High School football team will raise funds at the next PHS home game for the Puppy Jake Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs.

The football team aims to raise awareness of the needs of wounded veterans and provide for their dogs. In order to show honor to our men and women serving in the military, a U.S. veteran and his or her service dog will be the honorary captains of the Friday, Oct. 6 home game.

Along with selling t-shirts and sweatshirts, with a portion going to Puppy Jake, and the PHS cheerleaders will also do a 60-second cash donation at the end of first quarter, the football team will be collecting the following dog-related donations throughout the game at Dewey Field:

Kong Classic or Sumo (small, medium and large)
Kong Classic for puppies
Kong Dental rubber toys (small, medium and large)
