Perry High School senior Eli Saemisch pinned his opponent in 5:22 in a consolation match Thursday and will advance to Friday's state wrestling competition at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Perry High School senior Eli Saemisch (170) lost by fall Thursday night to Chase Schiltz, defending state champ at 160, in a 40-second match.
