PHS student tests COVID-19 positive; 24 contacts quarantined


A Perry High School student tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, Sept. 15, according to a message from the school district.

Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks said all students and families in contact with the positive student have been notified. In accord with guidance from the Dallas County Public Health Department, 24 students and five adults will be quarantined for 14 days.

All other students can attend classes as normal, Wicks said.
