The Perry High School swim team lost a very close match against Grinnell Tuesday night in the annual Think Pink themed meet in observance of breast cancer.
The final score was Grinnell 85-Perry 82.
Head Coach Jean Dowd recognized former PHS swimmer Heather Bruce of Osmundson Manufacturing at the start of the meet. Dowd thanked Bruce, who specialized in the 500 freestyle as a Jayette swimmer, for her continued support of Perry High School swimming.
Perry earned six first-place varsity finishes in individual events and two first-place finishes in relays, and three swimmers set personal best swims Tuesday night at the McCreary Community Building pool.
