CARROLL, Iowa — The Perry High School swim team defeated swimmers from both Carroll High School and Algona High School at Tuesday night’s meet in Carroll.
“It was a great way to end the regular season,” said Head Coach Jean Dowd. “We finished ahead of Algona despite their bringing a diver to Carroll tonight. Now the team can turn their attention to getting ready for Regional Competition at Johnston on Nov. 9.”
Three personal best times were set by PHS swimmers at the meet, including by Aleah Karolus, who dropped -7.23 off her previous best time in the 500 freestyle.
The meet was swum once but scored three ways. The scores were: Perry 66 Carroll 25, Perry 50 Algona 48, Algona 67 Carroll 27.
