Pickup crashes through fence in field west of country club Friday

A tow truck operator directs the driver of a pickup truck that left the roadway of Iowa Highway 144 about 6 a.m. Friday north of Perry.

A vehicle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 144 north of Perry Friday morning and came to rest in a farm field.

No injuries were reported in the mishap.

The incident occurred about 6 a.m. on D Avenue north of 330th Street in Boone County, about one mile west of the Perry Gold and Country Club.

The pickup truck entered the east ditch, crashed through fencing and came to rest upright in the field.

Icy road conditions might have contributed to the accident.

The Perry Police Department responded and summoned a local towing service.
