A woman was briefly trapped in her vehicle when a pickup collided with an SUV on Otley Avenue at Fifth Street Thursday morning.
The accident happened about 10:45 a.m. The victim was extricated and examined at the scene by the Dallas County EMS.
The Dodge 1500 pickup sustained significant front-end damage in the collision, and the Buick SUV sustained rear passenger-side damage and came to rest facing northward on Fifth Street. Air bags were deployed in the SUV.
The Perry Police Department is investigating the incident at this hour.
The Perry First Responders and Perry Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
